TNT’s ‘Dallas’ and JetBlue Celebrate their Summer Arrivals!

TNT’s new series, ‘Dallas’ and the new Dallas/Fort Worth  JetBlue route are celebrating their arrivals in a big way!

You know what they say…everything is bigger in Texas!  In order to spread the word about  TNT’s new series and the start of JetBlue’s new route from Dallas/Fort Worth to Boston, environmental artist, Stan Herd created a five-acre welcome installation, big and bright enough to be seen by all JetBlue flights arriving or departing the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport.

Composed of mulch, sand, limestone, prairie hay, crushed pecan shells, and crushed TerraBlue® corn chips, the installation features portraits of characters JR Ewing and Bobby Ewing, a replica of the “Southfork Ranch” arch and reads “Dallas Welcomes JetBlue.”

The piece was unveiled on June 1st and will remain in place through July 31st.  In addition, all of JetBlue’s flights will feature special ‘Dallas’ content, including cast interviews,  a special look at the creation of Herd’s piece, and the pilot episode of the series through July and August.

‘Dallas’ premieres Wednesday, June 13 at 9/8c on TNT.
